Visiting Ringers

We welcome visiting ringers, whether joining us for a practice or for service ringing. Please check with the tower correspondent that ringing is planned on your preferred date, especially in the vacations. Click here for University term-dates.

If you plan to visit with your own team of ringers please request this via the tower correspondent. Note that the bells are in the middle of a working university. On a weekday, permission is most likely to be granted for 45 minutes at lunchtime or after 5pm (except in the revision and exam periods when there is usually no ringing). At the weekends timings are more flexible but be aware that there are lots of weddings in the chapel on Saturdays. (Weddings already booked can be viewed online here)

If you plan to request a peal attempt then please note these are unlikely to be granted in term-time. In the vacation evenings or at the weekends are more likely to be possible.
